MapDashboard supports multi-user real-time collaborative editing, you can create and edit dashboard with multiple users. The dashboard will synchronize the editing content of each user in real time, automatically save the history version, and support viewing and restoring at any time. The dashboard support up to 70 users to collaborate edit at the same time.
Before the collaborative editing, the dashboard creator should enable the editable permission for all users or designated users. Please refer to: Set Permission.
If dashboard contains maps, data and service resources inconsistent with the sharing method of the dashboard, you can choose to update the sharing permissions of these resources simultaneously when sharing, so that the dashboard can be browsed normally after sharing.
Resetting dashboard permissions will be responded to the collaborative editing users in real time. For example, in the process of collaborative editing by other users, the dashboard creator changes the permission to "Viewable by everyone", then the collaborative editing user can only browse the dashboard and cannot edit it.
Users with editable permissions can view and edit the dashboard. In collaborative editing, you can edit dashboard in the same way as you edit the dashboard by yourself, such as adding new pages or components to the dashboard, modifying the existing components in the dashboard, etc. When you edit the dashboard online, the content you edited will be updated to the dashboard of other users who are collaborating on the editing; When you are offline, you will be in the offline editing state. The edit content of you and other users will be updated synchronously when you reconnect to the network.
On the right side of the top navigation bar, you can view the user who is currently editing the dashboard. Mapdashboad uses different colors to highlight the content that different user is editing, so as to distinguish the content that different users are editing.
In collaborative editing, MapDashboard supports automatically saving the edited content of all collaborative users and generating historical versions. The history version can be traced from the latest version to the first version,you can view or restore to a certain version.
icon in the top right corner of dashboard and select 'History Versions', there will be a list of history versions in the right panel of dashboard. It shows version number, version time and editor user of each version in the version list. You can select and view a certain history version of the dashboard.
